Digital Literacy Tour

Google’s Digital Literacy tour provides an interactive workshop that teaches people how to stay safe online.  It is easy to use, employs lots of videos, and provides resources in PDF form that can be passed on to other people.  I feel online safety is something that every internet user needs to be aware of.  There are so many viruses, schemes and scams going on out there, that if a person is not careful he or she can destroy his or her computer, have his or her identity stolen, or have his or her bank account or credit card information stolen.  All of these can be very scary and expensive things to have happen.  Taking the time to take Google’s Digital Literacy Tour can help people operate safely online.  I found the site to be very informative and easy to use, and it definitely helped open my eyes to the dangers of being reckless on the internet.
