Smart boards and smart notebooks are increasingly being used in
classrooms due to their convenience, ease of use, and the fact that they allow
for the use of technology right in the classroom. They can allow for browsing on the internet
right in the classroom. This opens up a
world of possibilities. A teacher can
use Youtube videos to instruct students and have easy access to a host of Web
2.0 tools (Wordle, Photovisi, iGoogle, etc.).
Smart boards also allow for class presentations and notes to be given in
an artistic manner, which may help to keep students interested in looking at
the notes in class. Also, games can be
played on a smart board or in smart notebooks.
